KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission requires additional documents from the Housing and Local Government Ministry to assist in its ongoing investigation into the MyKiosk project.

MACC Chief Commissioner Tan Sri Azam Baki said the documents would be reviewed by officers from the commission's Governance Investigation Division, reported TV3's Buletin Utama.

"This will be carried out by my officers from the Governance Investigation Division to examine certain documents," he said.

Azam said, based on current findings, there were no signs of corruption in the awarding of the tender linked to the project.

Earlier today, MACC senior investigation director Datuk Zainul Darus said the commission initiated an investigation into alleged corruption and irregularities involving the MyKiosk project, following a complaint lodged by a political party.

The complaint centres on the tender process managed by the Housing and Local Government Ministry for the construction of the kiosks. - NST
