Aminuddin Harun says the state government will stop issuing warnings and begin immediate enforcement against alcohol consumption in public areas.

Aminuddin said the state government had received numerous complaints about people consuming alcohol at recreational parks, children’s playgrounds, and beaches, especially at night.
“We used to just give warnings, but now we will take immediate action, including issuing fines,” Utusan Malaysia quoted him as saying.
“There are already provisions under the law, and we will enforce them.”
Aminuddin said the move was necessary to ensure that public spaces meant for families were not tarnished by immoral behaviour.
“These activities usually take place at night and they often leave behind empty bottles and rubbish, which leads to complaints from residents,” he said.
Separately, he said the state government’s decision on enforcement against the use of e-cigarettes or vapes would be announced during the next meeting of the Negeri Sembilan state assembly. - FMT
