PAS masturbating as usual

“I’m told by the locals, including some of the Muslims, that the lifestyle of the majority in Labuan simply does not favour a PAS candidate.
Notice how in Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur in the 12th GE, of the 11 parliamentary seats there, PAS only contested and won in only 1 seat, that is, Titiwangsa?
Might this have anything to do, however slight, with the lifestyle of a large number of KLites, including those who profess Islam as their faith who, then, at least, might have been more ready to dump BN if the alternative was a non-PAS candidate?” – my thoughts on why the PAS candidate in Labuan in the the last general election lost his deposit, in my “…can we ABUkan Labuan?” post.
Truth is, PAS is a long way from winning over all who profess Islam in this country to their brand of politics and their goals and aspirations.
Have this in mind when you consider PAS Ulama Council chief Harun Taib saying that if PAS emerges from the next elections as the party within the Pakatan Rakyat coalition that wins the largest number of seats, it will amend the constitution to introduce and implement hudud law.
They’ll find new partners outside of the PR coalition, if they have to, so says Harun.
Keep this in mind, too, when you take note of Hadi Awang saying that the constitution will be amended to make ‘adeen’ the way of life in the country.
These are ‘syiok sendiri’ statements.
Verbal masturbation, if you will.
PAS will never be able to form the federal government on its own, much less muster a 2/3 majority in parliament, without forging an alliance with others.
With who?
Tying up with UMNO post 13th GE?
So what?
Every seat that PAS wins will count as a seat lost by UMNO.
Such a merger post the 13th GE will not  see a government with a 2/3 majority in parliament that would be required to make the necessary amendments that both Harun and Hadi speak of now.
A PAS+PKR+UMNO unity government post the 13th GE?
We can expect the non-Muslim PKR MPs to abandon the party should its leadership embark on such a back-stabbbing move, can’t we?
Would the non-Muslim BN MPs in Sabah and Sarawak fall in line with such a move?
I think not.
Let’s not deny that PAS will always aspire to forge an Islamic state, whatever that might be.
But I think there are enough good people in this nation, both Muslim and non-Muslim, who will keep vigilant at all times to ensure that Harun’s, Hadi’s and PAS’s dream always remains what it is today.
A wet one.
Let’s not lose sleep or sight of the need to ABU this nation on account of this posturing and self-gratifying talk!
