YOURSAY ‘Even a young Malaysian has shown she has what it takes to do the right thing, something Umno samsengs should have done.'
Teen apologises for stepping on PM's photo
Mob1900: Thank you, 19-year-old Ong Sing Yee for having the courage to apologise despite the uncouth conduct of a biased PRDM (Royal Malaysian Police) doing their best to prove how silly and stupid they are in this minor incident.
As for the Umno samsengs (gangsters), even a young Malaysian has shown she has what it takes to do the right thing, something their dumb leaders should have done.
Baiyuensheng: Perkasa and the buttmen have also committed ‘sedition', but that was okay. They never apologised. At least, Ong has the guts to apologise unlike those cowards, who hide behind Islam.
Wira: Note that her apology centred on being disrespectful. For that, I applaud her courage and humility to apologise to those who may have been hurt by her indiscretion. To err is human. To forgive, divine.
Mat Malaysia: Dear Miss Teenager, we the public, don't need your apology. We want you to stamp on more pictures, please.
Mohd Khairul Izkandar: I want the police to equally investigate those who had urinated on photographs of PAS leaders Nik Aziz Nik Mat and Abdul Hadi Awang. Please don't practise double standards.
Joker: Picking on a teenage girl, how brave are our boys in blue? And I don't mean just the police. At least, Ong showed a sense of responsibility and accountability for her actions by turning herself in and issuing a press statement on the matter.
This is another victory for Perkasa. MCA, where are you? Not even a squeak?
1Malay-sia-sia: Brave girl, you have admitted your mistake and apologised. That should be the end of it. The more PDRM threatens and bully you, the more votes will go against this PM.
Do the Perkasa goons and the army ‘butt' veterans care to come forward and apologise, and does the PDRM care to make similar arrests, along with handcuffs, for these ‘honourable' criminals associated with BN?
Masu Otaku: The police are clearly abusing their powers and riding roughshod over the rakyat. It is imperative for the Independent Police Complaints and Misconduct Commission (IPCMC) to be implemented.
2zzzxxx: Umno's police are showing their true colours - they are nothing but an Umno tool. As ‘Bolehland' is rife with crime, they can be so 'efficient' to spend time to threaten and terrorise teenagers just because they step on the pictures of their masters.
At the same time, Umno's Perkasa and Umno's ex-army members have done similar and even worse things, but Umno's police chose to close their eyes.
Akutuan: Ong should apologise and I am sure she learnt her lesson. But how about those people who did the same in Penang to the chief minister?
PDRM, are you going to do something? It looks like our younger generation is more mature than those politicians in Penang.
Dont Just Talk: PDRM, what about those Perkasa and Umno members who not only stepped on Lim's portrait, but also wished him dead by hanging his picture on the front gate of his residence?
Come on, let's see some justice in the country. After all, LGE (Lim Guan Eng) is also an elected leader and chief minister of Penang.
R Subra Pinang: No one appreciates the move and conduct of Johor police, unless their comrades in Penang and Kuala Lumpur take similar action on the 'burger men' the 'butt belly dancers' and those in Penang in the LGE affair.
Until then, I and the rest of my family members' votes (55 of them) will be for Pakatan.
BTN: PDRM is a lost cause. Umno is the master of this land. You offend Umno, you pay for it.
The only way out to vote ABU (Anything but Umno) and hopefully after this, the process of getting all the enforcement agencies' original objective back on track begins.
It's a long but necessary journey as the country's peace and prosperity is at stake.
Tholu: I believe Ong that some police personnel were polite to her. In fact, it would not surprise me if they were sympathetic as well towards her plight.
They may be police officers, but they too are humans and citizens of this country. They fully understand the feelings of their fellow citizens and if not for their uniform, could have easily identified with the general public in terms of their political sentiments.
It is unfortunate that the police force as a whole under the leadership of a couple of spineless and boot-licking officers who are servile to the government leaders which has turned it to a biased and ruthless force.

Odin: Of course, Ms Ong Sing Yee has had no intention of contravening the Sedition Act. She wouldn't have known what precisely the Act stipulates, anyway. I myself don't. Would most people? I doubt it.
Her apology to the public was unnecessary, although it was good of her to have offered it.
Anonymous #02382443: Ong is an overnight star. Don't worry, we all do silly things (at least so in eyes of some) when we are young. It is part of growing up.
Wasn't Microsoft's Bill Gates also arrested for drink driving and what not? Like Bill, I hope you will grow to be a star some day. Good luck and God bless you.
Telestai!: Yes, put it down as teenage mischief. We all do silly things at some point in our teenage lives. The powers-that-be should get over this. There is no need for drama, so let's move on with our lives.
