PAS leaders who attended the inking of the Citizens' Declaration were there to collect information, said party information chief Nasrudin Hassan.
He said they had permission to attend, so that they can furnish a report to the party.
"(We were) informed and permitted them to attend so that we know what they were up to and we can get clear and accurate information," he said when met in Parliament today.
Those who attended the event were PAS former secretary-general Mustafa Ali, Ulama council information chief Khairuddin Aman Razali, Pokok Sena MP Mahfuz Omar and Salor state assemblyperson Husam Musa.
Meanwhile, secretary-general Takiyuddin Hassan said they were not representing PAS.
"Our stand is very clear, we are not part of the pact and we have our own views that we will submit to the relevant parties," he added.
