Floods hit several Kampung Baru homes in KL

PETALING JAYA: Several homes in Kampung Baru, Kuala Lumpur, were inundated by floods this evening following prolonged heavy rain in the city centre.

Kuala Lumpur civil defence force officer Junaidi Dukut Soeharto said floodwaters reached 0.4m in Kampung Periuk and 0.5m in Jalan Hamzah.

Two teams were deployed to monitor the situation and help those affected by the floods, he said, according to Harian Metro.

The area had been experiencing heavy rain from about 4.15pm. - FMT
