4,398 victims displaced in Kelantan as floods worsen

KOTA BHARU: The number of flood victims in Kelantan rose to 4,398 people as of 9pm, compared to 2,632 evacuees this morning.

According to the welfare department portal, the victims are taking shelter at 12 temporary relief centres in Pasir Mas and Tanah Merah.

In Pasir Mas, 11 relief centres are housing a total of 4,379 victims. Meanwhile, in Tanah Merah, 19 flood victims are being sheltered at the Padang Kijang community centre.

The drainage and irrigation department said the water level at Sungai Golok has reached the danger level of 10.18 metres in Pasir Mas and at the warning level of 2.25 metres at Kuala Jambu, Tumpat. - FMT
