The three-day Madani anniversary event ended with a bang for at least one attendee who bagged a brand new apartment after being announced the grand prize lucky draw winner.
Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim announced Nurain Shira Azaulmay as the winner after randomly selecting a number from those who registered for the lucky draw while attending the event at the Bukit Jalil National Stadium today.
However, the 26-year-old was not present to receive the prize.
Performance Acceleration Coordination Unit executive director Ahmad Jefry Aziz @ Adan received the prize on behalf of Nurain, who will be contacted by the event’s secretariat.
The apartment under the 1Malaysia People’s Housing Programme (PR1MA) scheme is located in Bandar Bukit Mahkota, Kajang.
The 1,000 sq ft unit with three bedrooms and two bathrooms is valued at RM260,000.
In other developments, Bernama reported that a total of 37,242 traffic summonses were settled in conjunction with the event.
Bukit Aman Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department director Mohd Azman Ahmad Sapri was quoted as saying that 12,300 traffic offenders managed to pay the summonses at 14 counters as well as via discount vouchers on the MyBayar Saman portal and application. - Mkini
