PETALING JAYA: Police have arrested a 40-year-old man hours after an elderly couple was found dead this evening at their home in Kampung Sungai Penchala, Kuala Lumpur.
Kuala Lumpur police chief Allaudeen Abdul Majid said the suspect is the couple’s son. He said a police team is carrying out investigations at the scene of the crime, with the aid of the canine unit, Harian Metro reported.
The report said the couple and the suspect, believed to be a drug addict, had been in an argument at about 7pm, during which the couple was stabbed, causing serious injuries.
Witnesses who noticed the incident immediately contacted the police, but the couple was found dead when they arrived.
Following the incident, the suspect was believed to have fled into the forest near the house. The police later arrested the suspect and further investigations are under way. - FMT
