This is Operation Wrath of God all over again. You can read about Operation Wrath of God here.
Following the massacre of Israeli athletes at the Munich Olympics in 1972 the Israelis vowed to hunt down and assassinate all the terrorists who were involved in the Munich massacre. Which they did eventually except for two or three who have survived.
Beginning 1972 to 1973 about 17 people who were believed to be involved directly or indirectly in the Munich massacre were assassinated by the Israelis. There is debate about the exact number and their involvement. Then in 1973 there was the Lillehammer affair in Norway which put a stop to the operation.
Finally Operation Wrath of God was revived in 1979 to get the last target on the hit list ie Ali Hassan Salameh or the Red Prince.
Ali Hassan Salameh (above right) was the chief of operations of an outfit called Black September. Black September had a very violent and short lived history which I will post about someday. Ali Hassan Salameh was finally blown up by the Israelis in Beirut in 1979 - seven years after the Munich Olympics massacre. And that was the conclusion of the Israeli's Operation Wrath of God.
If you are wondering about that woman on the left - she was Ali Hassan Salameh's wife, Georgina Rizk who was Miss Lebanon and also Miss Universe in 1971. It became known later that Ali Hassan Salameh had been recruited by the CIA's famous Robert Ames, the CIA station chief in Beirut at that time.
In 2005 Steven Spielberg made an epic historical drama called Munich which potrayed the events of the Munich Olympics massacre and the ensuing 'Operation Wrath of God'.
They will possibly be making more movies after this. This is to give you an idea of a possible time line of what may happen after this year 2023.
