PETALING JAYA: Three members of the media have been released on bail after being arrested for allegedly trespassing on the official residence of the Selangor menteri besar.

Shah Alam police chief Iqbal Ibrahim said investigations were completed today and the investigation paper will be submitted to the deputy public prosecutor tomorrow.

“Although the remand period was very short, just two days, we managed to complete our investigation in that short time,” he said.

Iqbal added that an application to extend the remand period was rejected by the magistrates’ court earlier today.

Yesterday, FMT reported that the trio, aged 31 to 35, were remanded for two days for trespassing into the Selangor menteri besar’s official residence.

They claimed they had a meeting to attend at the residence, but did not have an official invitation from the menteri besar’s office.

The supervisor at the residence, Musa Zin, lodged a police report saying he was informed that one of the men was caught attempting to enter the residence by hiding in the back seat of a car that was about to enter the residence. - FMT
