The trio arrested for allegedly trespassing on the Selangor menteri besar's official residence were released from police custody today.
A spokesperson for the Shah Alam district police headquarters said a bid to extend their remand was rejected.
However, the spokesperson said investigations were completed, nonetheless.
The three men, including a reporter who allegedly works for PAS mouthpiece Harakah, were arrested on Friday.
According to a police report lodged by the residence keeper, the reporter tried to walk into the residence of Menteri Besar Amirudin Shari but was stopped by the police.
After his first attempt failed, the reporter allegedly tried to sneak in by hiding inside a Proton Waja, which carried two other individuals who claimed they were going into the residence to attend a meeting.
However, the second attempt was also foiled by the cops, who inspected the sedan at the residence parking lot.
It was learned that one of those arrested was a grassroots leader from a PAS division in Selangor.
Meanwhile, PAS said a statement using the party's letterhead apologising for the trio's actions was fake.
