PKR deputy president Nurul Izzah Anwar declined to confirm or deny that she had offered to appoint her predecessor Rafizi Ramli as an appointed second deputy president.
She said this was a matter she did not wish to divulge publicly.
“I believe that matters spoken in confidence between friends should remain between them,” the New Straits Times quoted her as saying.
“It is my sincere effort to build bridges in the party,” she added.
Nurul Izzah had bested Rafizi in the PKR polls on May 23.
Three days before the polls, Rafizi alleged that Nurul Izzah had asked him to help her after the party polls were over, and alluded to a position.
He revealed yesterday that the post was a second deputy presidency.
However, Rafizi said he is not interested in any appointed posts. - Mkini
