Kota Setar police chief Syed Basri Syed Ali says the 32-year-old is expected to be remanded today.

PETALING JAYA: Police have arrested a suspect who fled in a Mazda 3 after allegedly stabbing a woman near a restaurant in Titi Gajah, Kepala Batas, last night.
Kota Setar police chief Syed Basri Syed Ali confirmed that the 32-year-old suspect was arrested early this morning, according to Berita Harian.
“We successfully apprehended the suspect, who will be remanded today,” he was quoted as saying.
The 35-year-old woman was reportedly stabbed in the right side of her neck by a man she knew in the incident that occurred at 9.19pm.
The case is being investigated under Section 326 of the Penal Code for voluntarily causing grievous hurt by dangerous weapons or means. - FMT
