LABIS: Barisan Nasional has chosen Rengit assistant district officer (ADO) Mohd Azhar Ibrahim as its candidate for the Jan 30 Tenang by-election.
Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin announced that Mohd Azhar, 39, who is an ordinary member with the Labis Umno division, as the candidate here Wednesday.
Mohd Azhar has been in the Johor civil service for many years. He is the son of a former Tenang assemblyman, Ibrahim Daud, who passed away several years ago.
Mohd Azhar face Labis PAS Wanita chief Normala Sudirman, 38, in the by-election.
The nomination for the by-election is on Saturday while polling day is Jan 30. - Star
