New faces make up nearly 90% of Commissioner Mohd Taufek’s team
SEREMBAN: Negeri Sembilan PAS Commissioner Mohd Taufek Abdul Ghani has replaced nearly 90% of the state’s team of officials with new faces.
“We want to strengthen the team to help realize our mission of capturing more seats in the 13th general election,” he told a press conference last night.
“With that in mind, I’ve appointed an economist, an engineer, a lawyer, a businesswoman, a Felda settler, bankers and an ulama to the team.
“I hope they will translate their experience and skills into running the party in a much more creative way.”
The new team will serve for two years.
Mohd Taufek, the state assemblyman for Paroi, is the only PAS member in the Negeri Sembilan legislative assembly. He became PAS commissioner for the state in the recent party elections, replacing Zulkefly Mohamad Omar, who withdrew from the race before the vote.
At last night’s press conference, he pledged to emulate his predecessor in working closely with PKR and DAP.
He said the three parties were currently engaged in negotiating for seats to contest in the coming general election.
The new Negeri Sembilan PAS line-up is as follows:
Deputy Commissioner 1: Dr Rosli Yaakop
Deputy Commissioner 2: Abdul Rahman Ramli
Deputy Commissioner 3: Anuar Azhari
Secretary: Mohd Hassan Tamby
Treasurer: Ramli Ismail
Information Chief: Norazman Ahmad
Youth Chief: Khairil Anuar Wafa
Women Chief: Fazilah Abu Samah
Ulama Chief: Mohd Khairi Zainaldin
