PAS deputy president Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man criticised Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim for talking more than working.
Using the analogy of a person who wants to ride a bus, he said the passengers should check the driver first and not the bus itself.
“When we want to ride a bus, don’t look at whether the bus looks nice, we must see if the driver is crazy or not.
“If the bus is nice but the driver is crazy, not only won’t we reach (our destination), but we will also be killed.
“Where we want to go, let the government explain where they want to bring the rakyat. What to do about economic issues, what is the plan?” Tuan Ibrahim questioned during a mega ceramah in the Kelaboran seat in Tumpat last night.
Tuan Ibrahim said the rakyat wants to see the government carry out its duties, rather than just paying lip service.
“They hold ceramah and keep repeating ‘thieves, bandits, corrupt people’. You are the government, if there is a corruption case, go arrest them and prosecute them in court.
“The people now do not want to listen to the ministers and prime minister speak. The rakyat wants to see what is being done,” he said.
The former environment and water minister also accused Anwar of not implementing the reformation agenda in his government.
He pointed to Anwar’s use of a government helicopter to travel to Kedah to attend a “Segalanya Felda” carnival.
“Administrative reform says there should not be any misuse of government property by political parties for the purposes of campaigning. Where are the parliamentary reforms?” Tuan Ibrahim said. - Mkini
