BN and Pakatan Harapan will launch their election manifesto for Kelantan tomorrow, promising surprises and solutions to PAS' mismanagement of the state.
Speaking to reporters today, Kelantan BN secretary Md Alwi Che Ahmad said the promises are ones that can definitely be fulfilled because the new government will be able to cooperate with the federal government.
"There will be many surprises. We aim to fix all the mistakes of the previous government," he said.
The only detail Alwi could share for now was that the BN-Harapan pact will set up a Kolej Universiti Al-Quran and a tahfiz Sains.
"This college will produce huffaz (people who can recite the Quran from memory) and capable of taking on professional jobs such as doctors, engineers, and architects," he said.
Alwi added that BN aims to retain the eight seats it won in 2018 and win another eight. He hoped that Harapan will win at least seven of the 14 seats allocated to them.
This, Alwi said, was enough for the BN-Harapan pact to form the new government.
Meanwhile, Alwi brushed off former Ketereh Umno chief Annuar Musa's claim that there will be a mass exodus of Kelantan Umno members.
"We'll see what he says later. Most likely (the ones leaving) are Annuar's family members.
"So far, we know that Annuar's son, Afiq Amani, is still the Ketereh Umno Youth division chief and is loyal to the party," he said. - Mkini
