Sanusi skips PN mega ceramah to avoid being 'trapped'

STATE POLLS | Kedah Perikatan Nasional chief Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor did not appear at a major ceramah in Sungai Petani last night, ostensibly to avoid being "trapped".

Sanusi was supposed to attend the event at the Taman Ria field, but Alor Setar MP Afnan Hamimi Taib Azamudden announced the caretaker menteri besar’s absence.

"It saddens me to read this slip of paper. Earlier this morning, (Sanusi) was at an important meeting in Kuala Lumpur. During that meeting, there were several important decisions.

"(Sanusi) was advised not to continue his ceramah tonight because our opponents are out to trap him. They want our menteri besar to walk into the trap and hang on to him," Afnan told the ceramah, according to Berita Harian.

Sanusi (above) is in the crosshairs of lawyers from both Selangor Pakatan Harapan chief Amirudin Shari and Berjaya Land Berhad.

Previously, Sanusi had accused Amirudin and Berjaya Land of impropriety over the Selangor Maritime Gateway project.

Sanusi had maintained that he had proof of his claims and will present it in court. - Mkini
