PKR Youth chief Adam Adli Abdul Halim has rejected the invitation to debate by Muda president Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman, for now.
“Although I believe it would be a good platform to unravel a lot of issues, I think there are those who need it more for the time being.
“I suggest, for this state election, we give room for new candidates to debate each other. Focus on their voices and let them get more exposure than us, who already have the media’s and the society’s attention,” the deputy youth and sports minister said on social media today.
“Thank you for the invite, but God willing, we can settle our business after the state elections. Just set the perimeters,” he added.
Adam (above, left) was responding to Muar MP Syed Saddiq’s invitation to him and PAS Youth chief Ahmad Fadhli Shaari, for a debate.
Syed Saddiq said that the debate would be a great platform to discuss ideas, solutions, and policies concerning the youth.
Meanwhile, Sinar Harian reported that Fadhli has agreed to the debate.
"I have no issues accepting this challenge. I am liaising with Syed Saddiq's team to set a time and place for the debate.
"Debating is a healthy culture in society. I have no problems having the debate anywhere, anytime, and not only during the state elections season," he was quoted as saying. - Mkini
