Before judge Izralizam Sanusi, Haffiz and Fahmee claimed trial, while ex-MACC officer Azwan pleaded not guilty before judge Siti Aminah Ghazali.

The trio was accused of robbing the victim out of cash of RM952,690 and ¥1,225 (RM805), a silver baggage bag and a black LV bag.

They were alleged to have committed the gang robbery at a unit at Ritz Carlton Residence, Jalan Ampang, Kuala Lumpur, around 12pm on Dec 10, 2021.

Facing a charge under Section 395 of the Penal Code, the trio could face imprisonment up to 20 years and whipping.

Haffiz and Fahmee were granted bail of RM12,000 each with one surety, while Azwan was allowed bail of RM10,000 with one surety.

Their criminal cases would come up for mention on Feb 5 next year, with the prosecution having applied to transfer Azwan's case to Izralizam's court for joint trial with the other two MACC officers.

Deputy public prosecutor Izalina Abdullah prosecuted.
