PETALING JAYA: A 50% discount on traffic summonses in conjunction with the “One Year with the Madani Government” event will take place from Dec 8 to 10.
Kuala Lumpur traffic investigation and enforcement department chief Azman Ahmad Sapri said compounds may only be paid at the traffic fine enquiry and payment counter at the Bukit Jalil National Stadium from 9am to 6pm.
The offer does not include traffic offences for 2023 involving accident-related fines, court cases with arrest warrants or those still undergoing trial, and non-compoundable offences.
Azman urged the public to check their fines in advance through the MyBayar PDRM portal and app before going to the payment counter to avoid congestion at the location and to facilitate the payment process.
The three-day event is being held to commemorate the first year in power of Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim’s administration.
The event is jointly organised by a unit under the Prime Minister’s Office and the Malaysia Productivity Corporation. - FMT
