INDIAN MAN HEART ATTACK DEATH AT HOSPITAL MADANI - POTONG GAJI PENGARAH KESIHATAN, PENGARAH HOSPITAL UNTUK BAYAR PAMPASAN MAHKAMAH

 Here is another case involving Indians. 

This is a very sad case - an Indian man died of a heart attack. 
The news report says he was not attended to for FIVE hours in the hospital.
There is a lawyer already involved and the family is likely suing the hospital.

 

 

My Comments : 

Indeed it is another case involving Indians. 

Remember those Indian kids at some school (some years back) who were told to eat in the bathroom during the fasting month.

There was the video of that Indian fellow who was told the counter at that gomen department somewhere was closed despite the fellow waiting for hours to be served.

Indians get beaten up and even get killed while in custody. But non-Indians also get killed.

That Indian girl who asked that d@nkey about university places was practically told to shut up and sit down.

If an objective observer from planet Mars happened to observe all this he would say Indians do get the short end of the stick.

I think the family of the Indian man who died at that hospital are suing. I wish them all the best. I hope they sue the pants   off whoever was responsible and get their due compensation.

And this is what I want to talk about.

These types of stupid and silly behaviour (the carelessness, the tidak apa attitude, the tidak peduli attitude, the 'lu ingat lu siapa' attitude, the stupidity, the incompetence) happens all the time.

Four workers got killed when a pedestrian bridge fell on their heads. 
Four Orang Asli and Indons got killed when a dam intentionally released a surge of water.
That bomba boy was knocked down and killed by their own Bomba truck.
Six bomba men were drowned because of really stupid supervision (Kami ikut SOP).

In some of these cases compensation was paid - usually by the government. 
The Bomba boy's family was paid RM1.5 million (according to reports). 
I am sure the families of the six Bomba men who drowned were also paid compensation.
I dont know if the Orang Asli families were paid anything. Who cares about Orang Asli.
The four workers were all foreigners so that case would have gone to hell.

Negligence, foolishness and stupidity also happens in other countries.

But usually disciplinary action is taken against the people  who act negligently or foolishly. And if the government has to pay compensation, the people responsible may lose their job, get demoted, never get promoted again, get fired and told to get lost, lose their pension etc.  In other words they suffer the consequences of their negligence.

But we rarely see that happening here in our country.

If someone sues the gomen in Court for negligence and wins the case and the Court orders the gomen to pay compensation so what? 

The negligent officers are not going to pay anything out of their own pockets. Their jobs are secure. They will still get promoted. Their jobs, promotions and pensions are all safe. 

Despite their negligence. 
This is our system.  
You screw up you still get rewarded.

It is time we changed this tidak apa attitude. If the gomen is found guilty of negligence then the officers in charge and those who were directly and indirectly involved in the negligence should be punished. 

They must be disciplined, lose their jobs, get demoted, never get promoted again, lose their pentions or get their pensions reduced. They must suffer some consequences.

In this case if the Court finds negligence, then the Pengarah Kesihatan, the Pengarah Hospital must be immediately held responsible. Plus of course the staff who were on duty at that time including the nurses and doctors. All of them must be held responsible.
