Masked men with hats threaten to kill family in armed robbery

IPOH: Five armed robbers attacked a man in his home at Jalan Bagan Datuk near Hutan Melintang in Bagan Datuk early this morning before fleeing with items worth more than RM39,000.

Hilir Perak police chief Ahmad Adnan Basri said the 39-year-old man reported the robbery at 4.14am.

“One robber pointed a parang at the man’s neck and tied his hands before marching him to his parents’ bedroom and tying up his father.

“The men then ransacked the house and fled with jewellery, mobile phones, handbags, cash and two motorcycles,” he said in a statement.

Adnan said the gang, who wore dark clothes, face masks and hats, threatened to kill the family if they called the police. - FMT
