WITH THE many super markets blooming everywhere like mushrooms in the rain, competition has never been higher.
They compete in terms of pricing, convenience, freshness and anything else that gives them an edge over the others.
But is there really anything much you could do to market something as simple as vegetables? Here comes a really creative and outstanding super market employee to prove you wrong.
In a viral photo post on X by netizen @equine__dentist, a couple of lush cabbages could be seen lining up the aisle.
What sets them apart from anywhere else is the fact that the employee embedded seeds into the cabbage to form human eyes and chili for eyebrows.ition, the cabbage and its “additions” were sealed shut with a clear plastic.
Now that is one sure way to make certain the product stands out among the crowd. Judging from the response in the comment section, we are sure this packaging will also be a hit among the consumers.
“The employee who comes up with this idea should deserve a raise ! I will buy the cabbage right away!” said @devsharmatwt while @Dondozzy12 added, “Lowkey I know it’s a trick, but it still works on me.”
Another netizen claimed she will buy those vegetables just to get a reaction from the kids. Also, @BTCTKVR said he is ready to make an angry man cabbage soup.
The viral post did not reveal the location of the super market that employs such creative packaging, but we think everyone else can learn from it. Some, however, were not taken by it.
For example, @Pablomendonca7 claimed that those cabbage faces reflect his Monday morning mood, and he would buy them just to give them a home.
“Can’t cook something that’s looking at you like that,” said @timeless3650. Netizen @JunNetworkJ further pointed out their resemblance to the figurines from his village.
In an era where branding is everything, even vegetables apparently need personality to survive on supermarket shelves.
So the next time a shopper walks past the produce section, don’t be surprised if a carrot winks at them or a pumpkin judges their life choices.
As for these expressive cabbages, one thing is certain. They may not stay fresh forever, but their faces will likely live rent-free in shoppers’ minds for a very long time. — Focus Malaysia
