DAP parliamentary leader Lim Kit Siang has had an hassle-free entry into Sabah today, despite the so-called travel ban on him and several others.
"Entered Sabah without fuss as it should be. Immigration autonomy for Sabah includes fundamental right of Malaysians to enter for legitimate political activities," he tweeted at 10.35am, apparently after landing at the Kota Kinabalu International Airport.
"An apology to (PKR vice president Nurul Izzah Anwar) is in order," he added, in reference to the May 30 incident when she was deported upon arrival at the same airport.
Following that incident, DAP Sabah publicity chief Chan Foong Hin had disclosed a letter on the ban purportedly from the chief minister's office, and urged him to confirm its authenticity as it bore no signature.
The letter says that besides Nurul Izzah, Lim, among others, had also been barred from entering the state.
However, Sabah CPO Hamza Taib later reportedly said that Nurul Izzah was the only person banned which had since been lifted.
