CRIME DOWN? BOMBS found in luggage bag in KL detonated by police

KUALA LUMPUR - Police detonated two bombs found in a luggage bag in Jalan Medan Tunku 1, here, this evening.

It is learnt that the luggage bag was placed in front of a building near a pedestrian bridge at 4pm today.

Passers-by immediately alerted the police and the bomb squad were dispatched to the scene at around 6.30pm.

The first bomb was safely detonated by a bomb disposal squad at 7.40pm while the second bomb was put off five minutes later. -NST
