Kit Siang: Three months on, what happened to police's 1MDB probe?

Lim Kit Siang is wondering what happened to the police's investigations into the Public Accounts Committee's report on 1MDB which was initiated three months ago.
He asked this while expressing surprise that police might not have a copy of the 1MDB audit report, which the PAC report was based on.
"How can the inspector-general of police Khalid Abu Bakar explain the police failure to have a copy of the auditor-general’s report on 1MDB after more than three months of police investigations into the PAC report?
"What has happened to the high-level police probe into the PAC report on 1MBD headed by the IGP himself after more than three months?" he asked in a statement today.
This was in relation to Khalid's remarks last week that police would have to check with auditor-general Ambrin Buang whether the 1MDB audit documents leaked by Sarawak Report were genuine.
In relation to this, Lim wanted to know if the top cop had verified the documents' authenticity with Ambrin.
The 1MDB audit documents have been kept classified under the Official Secrets Act.

Critics claimed that keeping the auditor-general's finding secrets showed that Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak has something to hide.
The Sarawak Report leaks claimed that the report is bad for Najib and the state investment firm, and contained "stark criticism" from Ambrin.
Malaysiakini cannot independently verify if the documents published by Sarawak Report are authentic, nor can it report on the contents due to legal restrictions.- Mkini
