EXACTLY WHAT I SAID : Ayatollahs Support Terrorism Overseas to Divert Attention from Internal Unrest

Gen. James Jones: Tehran Leverages Terrorism to Divert Attention from Internal Unrest

  • Oct 26,  Senate briefing discuss Iranian regime and turmoil in Middle East
  • Gen James Jones, former US National Security Advisor
  • Tehran creating instability in region, particularly in Palestinian conflict
  • if Iran hadn’t interfered, two-state solution already achieved by 2008

  • future of Middle East and global stability depends on trajectory of Iran
  • potential for free, democratic Iranian republic to foster regional peace
  • urged global community to support Iranian people’s aspirations for democracy
  • Iranian people increasingly demanding change
  • Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps murdered 750 protesters in Sept 2002
  • Iran tyranny, economic distress, incompetence, corruption, ticking time bomb
  • 1988 massacre, 2022 uprising shows regime’s crumbling power
  • Iran held hostage by Ayatollahs

  • Ayatollahs undeniable epicenter of regional instability and chaos
  • Ayatollahs believe in turmoil as the status quo
  • Ayatollahs have perpetuated this notion
  • to reach out to Ayatollahs is recipe for disaster
  • It’s as though we invite arsonists to come and put out the fire that they started
  • Ayatollahs can’t be part of the solution, and it must be rejected
  • Ayatollahs paint themselves as curators of peace, an untenable paradox

  • they long sabotaged Middle Eastern stability, exported terror, extremism
  • Iran fostering divisions among Palestinians, undermining legitimate leadership
  • Hamas, Hezbollah, Islamic Jihad consistently undermined PLO, Mahmoud Abbas
  • without Iran’s financial, ideological, political backing Hezbollah, Hamas would fail
  • Tehran consistently opposed to peaceful solutions
  • Why? It’s simple, one word: desperation.
  • Tehran leverages these tactics to divert attention from internal unrest
  • to maintain fragile grip, an increasingly fragile grip on power at home

  • The solution is the Ayatollah regime will fall
  • world must know there exists an alternative
  • Gen Jones expressed support for NCRI as viable alternative
  • National Council of Resistance of Iran, NCRI
  • growing popularity, people’s support for the NCRI
  • NCRI, led by the wonderful Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, offers genuine alternative
  • only path to peace is support Iranian people’s aspirations for democratic republic
  • devoid of any form of religious or monarchistic dictatorship.
  • beacon of hope emerges in the NCRI and its main component the MEK
  • sacrifices of NCRI, notably women, testament to their commitment
  • their leadership offers a promising vision for a new Iran

  • NCRI warned decades ago, Tehran’s meddling in Middle East
  • 1,000 times more significant than acquiring nuclear weapons
  • fundamentalism from Iran is the new global threat
  • Iranian people’s determination for change.
  • change is inevitable, disenchantment among masses is palpable
  • world must unequivocally support Iranian people’s request for democracy

My Comments : The Ayatollahs do not have legitimacy to rule Iran. How can the 'Supreme Leader' Ayatollah Ali Khamenei remain in power without pause for 34 years? Till death do me part?

They have a sham democracy.  The people can only vote for a president who has been endorsed by the Ayatollahs.

The big question is who picks the Ayatollahs? Who endorses the Ayatollahs? Answer : They endorse themselves. Duduk dalam bakul angkat sendiri.

The question is not whether they will fail. They have already failed. The question is when they will fall? For a certainty they will fall. This is the single most certain feature of all tyrants - sooner or later they all fall.

The views expressed are those of the writer and do not necessarily reflect those of MMKtT.
