Menu Rahmah: Sellers to get discount cards to buy ingredients

 

The government is introducing a pilot programme to give discount cards for Menu Rahmah sellers to buy ingredients at lower prices.

This is in an effort to keep costs down so that traders can continue offering Menu Rahmah meals to low-income earners.

In a statement today, Acting Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Minister Armizan Mohd Ali said those eligible for the cards can buy goods at up to 40 percent less for 5,000 stock-keeping units.

The purchases can be made at Aeon Big, Econsave, Giant, Lotus’s, Mydin, and NSK.

Traders must be Malaysian citizens who have registered as Menu Rahmah sellers with the minister and are also registered with the Companies Commission of Malaysia and their respective local councils.
