KUALA LUMPUR: Employee salary deductions to repay National Higher Education Fund Corporation (PTPTN) loans can now be done online through Portal Majikan Online, said the fund.
PTPTN said the online service could also be used for savings in the National Education Savings Scheme (SSPN).
“The online service provides employers a convenient platform for simpler data verification and review, with the whole salary deduction process done digitally,” PTPTN said in a statement.
PTPTN chief executive Ahmad Dasuki Abdul Majid said the portal was part of its digitalisation agenda for more efficient and effective services.
He also hoped employers would help PTPTN borrowers in making repayments through salary deductions and enjoy the government’s discount incentives.
“The government, through the 2024 budget, agreed to give a 15% discount for PTPTN repayments through salary deductions from Oct 14, 2023 until March 31, 2024,” he said. - FMT
