Police have received a report regarding a viral video clip of an obscene conversation linked to former director-general of the Community Communications Department (J-Kom) Mohammad Agus Yusoff and one of his officers.
Selangor police chief Hussein Omar Khan said Agus lodged the report at the Kajang police station in Selangor yesterday morning.
“The investigation is being conducted under Section 500 of the Penal Code and Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998,” he told Bernama when contacted last night.
Hussein said his department would call up several individuals soon to help in the investigation.
Earlier, a three-minute video clip depicting an online conversation between a man allegedly resembling Agus and another individual went viral on social media.
Agus, at a press conference at a hotel in Bangi yesterday claimed the video was edited and that he had filed a police report regarding the matter.
