- former BNM dep governor lamented Msia’s foreign policies
- Sukhdave Singh said risk of alienating countries on which M'sia is dependent
- “national leaders” focusing on foreign relations that dont benefit economically
- to countries with very little stake in Malaysia’s economy.
- M'sia small country and should not antagonise key economic partners
- not unforeseeable M'sia will need global financial assistance in future
- M'sia has had too many leaders who have not been intern'l statesmen
- failed at providing balanced perspective on international developments
- they have reacted emotionally
- They have undermined themselves and the country
- by playing to popular sentiments of gullible citizens
- Instead of being statesmen, they have become rabble-rousers
- hoping to ride on emotions to enhance their political prospects
- clear lack of economic momentum in the country’s economic policies
- leaders more interested in self-glorifying international relations stunts
