PETALING JAYA: The investigation into the allegations of sexual harassment against former community communications department (J-Kom) director-general Agus Yusoff has been completed, say the police.

Bukit Aman criminal investigation department director Shuhaily Zain said that the investigation paper was submitted to the Attorney-General’s Chambers (AGC) on Dec 18.

“The investigation paper is still being looked at by the AGC,” Berita Harian quoted him as saying.

On Dec 14, Agus was summoned to the Kajang police headquarters to have his statement taken following allegations made by Abdul Wahab Abdul Kadir Jilani, an assistant community district officer with J-Kom.

Inspector-General of Police Razarudin Husain also confirmed last month that the police were investigating Wahab’s allegations of sexual harassment, believed to have taken place at a hotel in Bintulu, Sarawak, on Oct 21.

The investigations were carried out under Section 354 of the Penal Code for molestation and Section 377D for outraging of decency, following a report filed by Wahab and his lawyer at the Kajang police headquarters on Nov 30.

Before that, police were investigating a viral video clip allegedly showing a lewd conversation between Agus and Wahab.

Agus later claimed at a press conference that the video clip was fake and was doctored by irresponsible parties. - FMT
