Quit the midnight karaoke and focus on your job, Fahmi tells Sanusi

Taking a swipe at Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor, Communications Minister Fahmi Fadzil said the Kedah menteri besar should focus on his job instead of indulging in karaoke sessions or talking about the Dubai Move.

“Before he talks about the Dubai Move, Sanusi should tell us what happened to the racing circuit in Kedah.

“I feel that he needs to change his approach from commenting on this.

“Perhaps, Sanusi should stop doing midnight karaoke with unknown women (on TikTok live) and focus on governing his state,” the New Straits Times reported Fahmi as saying.

On Dec 28, Sanusi responded to criticisms levelled against him for participating in an online karaoke session with an unknown woman, saying it was neither illegal nor against religion.

“This is a petty issue compared to the Ashabul Kahfi matter which was linked to the prime minister.

“Those aligned with the unity government are just blowing up this issue to cover up the bigger ones,” he told Sinar Harian.

‘Chow Kit Move’

On Jan 3, the Kedah menteri besar confirmed reports over the Dubai Move, where it was alleged that Perikatan Nasional MPs and some from the government bloc met in Dubai to discuss plans to oust the sitting federal government.

Instead of labelling it the Dubai Move - as the meeting allegedly took place in Dubai - Sanusi called it the “Chow Kit Move”.

“People are labelling (the plot as) the Dubai Move, but it’s really the Chow Kit Move because it was discussed in Kuala Lumpur.

“I think Dubai was just a dummy (decoy) because they (the alleged conspirators) went to Dubai. Lots of people go to Dubai,” Sanusi was reported as saying.

On a related matter, Fahmi urged Sanusi to pay attention to issues affecting Kedah - such as the rare earth element scandal.

“I think he has a lot more problems; he’s a menteri besar, not MP.

“Let’s all focus on our respective tasks,” the Lembah Pantai MP added. - Mkini
