PETALING JAYA: A wanted man was shot dead by policemen in a gunfight near an apartment building in Puchong Prima, Selangor, this afternoon.
Selangor police chief Hussein Omar Khan said an exchange of gunfire between the man and the police took place in front of the Sri Akasia apartment building.
He said the dead man, who was wanted by police, has a history of seven criminal offences and six narcotics offences.
He added that further investigations are being carried out by the Subang Jaya CID.

Earlier today, gunshots were reportedly heard at Jalan Puchong Prima 3 in the afternoon. A widely-shared video contains a recording of the sound of several men shouting before the gunshots were fired.
Hussein urged the public against spreading the video to avoid causing alarm. - FMT
