PETALING JAYA
Police have recorded a statement from a businessman in relation to a police report filed by the mother of the late TikTok influencer A Rajeswary, better known as Esha.

Sentul police chief Sukarno Zahari said that the 39-year-old man’s statement was recorded last Sunday.

We will also record statements from a man and a suspended female police officer this week,
 he told FMT.

Last Friday, Rajeswary’s mother, R Puspa, filed a police report against three people over a video and a live broadcast on her daughter in which they allegedly spoke ill of her.

Rajeswary, 29, was found dead at her home in Setapak, Kuala Lumpur, on July 5.

The Hindu rights activist filed a police report the day before against two people for allegedly harassing her on TikTok.

A 44-year-old man and a 34-year-old woman were charged in court yesterday over Esha’s cyberbullying, which is believed to have led to her death.

B Sathiskumar, a lorry driver, was accused of intentionally making obscene remarks with the intention of hurting others through his TikTok account, Dulal Brothers 360.

In a separate court, P Shalini was slapped with the maximum RM100 fine after pleading guilty to engaging in insulting behaviour with the intention of inciting anger and disrupting peace. - FMT
