Mahkota assemblyperson Sharifah Azizah Syed Zain’s daughter has warned all quarters against spreading fake news about her mother’s health.
This comes after Sharifah, 63, was reported to be in critical condition and is being treated at the Enche' Besar Hajjah Khalsom Hospital in Johor due to internal bleeding.
Sharifah’s youngest daughter Nadia Abu Bakar clarified that her mother is in stable condition.
“We brought mum to the hospital yesterday because she was having breathing difficulties.
“It was not due to internal bleeding or organ failure.
“She is now in stable condition and is resting,” Nadia told Malaysiakini.
Earlier today, Batu Pahat Wanita Umno chief Haliza Abdullah told Berita Harian that Sharifah was in critical condition due to internal bleeding.
Sharifah, who is the Kluang Wanita Umno chief, previously helmed the position of Johor Wanita Umno chief.
She secured the Mahkota seat in the 2022 state election.
Previously, she served as Penawar assemblyperson from 2018 to 2022. - Mkini
