PUTRAJAYA: A former Lembaga Tabung Haji (TH) chairman and a former Treasury secretary-general arrived at the Putrajaya magistrates' court here for a remand hearing.
They arrived at 9.30am wearing orange lock-up attire and handcuffed, escorted by Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) officers.
Also present, wearing orange lock-up attire and handcuffed, was a former TH chief executive officer.
The former TH CEO was remanded from Aug 21 to 27.
The remand order was issued by magistrate Ezrene Zakariah after MACC made an application at the Putrajaya magistrates' court.
Yesterday, MACC detained the two former senior officials as part of its investigation into issues raised in the Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI) report on the pilgrimage fund.
Both men, who are in their 60s, were detained at about 4pm yesterday after they turned up at the MACC headquarters.
The latest arrests are part of the anti-graft agency's ongoing investigation into matters highlighted in the RCI report on TH.
It was reported on Aug 21 that a former TH chief executive officer had been remanded for seven days until Aug 27 in connection with the RCI findings.
MACC began its probe into the RCI report on July 31, following its declassification.
