Police have obtained a picture of the deceased, but his identity remains unknown.
KLIA police chief M Ravi said a sudden death investigation paper had been opened, and the family of the deceased was needed to identify the victim and complete investigations.
“We call on members of the public with family or acquaintances who have been missing or uncontactable since Aug 19 to contact their nearest police station, especially if they were known to be around the KLIA area,” he said in a statement.
The man was found by engineering crew who noticed a foul odour coming from the wheel-well after the plane touched down at KLIA Terminal 2.
He was believed to have died more than 72 hours before his body was discovered. No identification papers were found. - FMT
