Now Johor hit by unhealthy air quality

 Four areas in the state record API readings of between 154 and 129, while conditions elsewhere improve.

PETALING JAYA:

Johor was affected by unhealthy air quality tonight, with four locations in the state topping the air pollutant index (API).

Heading the list as of 10pm was Pasir Gudang with an API reading of 154, followed by Kota Tinggi (153), Pengerang (152) and Larkin (129).

Two areas in Sarawak also recorded “unhealthy” API readings — the district police headquarters at Serian (117) and Sri Aman (109).

Fifty-six areas nationwide recorded “moderate” API readings, and six had “good” air quality.

An API reading of zero to 50 indicates good air quality, 51 to 100 moderate, 101 to 200 unhealthy, 201 to 300 very unhealthy, and above 300 hazardous. - FMT
