Woman claims she was punched on Kelana Jaya LRT train

 The 45-year-old says a stranger hit her in the face and head in a crowded coach on Tuesday.

Police said an investigation paper has been opened after the woman lodged a report on the incident which allegedly took place between the Dato Keramat and Jelatek LRT stations at about 6.30pm on Tuesday.

Police are investigating an incident where a woman claimed she was assaulted by a man while travelling on the Kelana Jaya LRT line.

Wangsa Maju police chief Annas Sulaiman said the woman, 45, filed a report over the incident on Tuesday.

“An investigation paper has been opened under Section 323 of the Penal Code for voluntarily causing hurt,” he said in a statement.

The woman claimed a male passenger punched her while she was travelling on the Kelana Jaya LRT line between the Dato Keramat and Jelatek stations at about 6.30pm to 6.40pm on Tuesday.

In a post on Threads, she said the coach was packed with commuters when the stranger punched her in the face and head.
