Rapid KL to provide free shuttle buses for F1 race in Sepang

Rapid KL, in collaboration with Sepang International Circuit (SIC), will provide free shuttle bus services in conjunction with the Formula 1 (F1) Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix from Oct 2-4.

Ninety-five buses will be deployed for the free shuttle service on a loop basis from key locations to the event venue.

Rapid Bus Sdn Bhd chief executive officer Syahrul Azmir Ahmad Zaki said the special shuttle bus service to SIC would operate from three locations – the bus hub at Level 1 of KLIA Terminal 2, the Mitsui KLIA bus hub and De-Village, Persiaran Millenia 2, Bandar Baru Enstek.

“The service will operate from 7am to midnight on all three days, with a frequency of between 10 and 15 minutes. To complement the service, Rapid KL will also provide shuttle buses within the circuit to facilitate visitors’ movement to key locations.

“The provision of these services reflects Rapid KL’s commitment to supporting the hosting of international-standard events and encouraging the use of public transport,” he said in a statement.

Syahrul also advised visitors to plan their journeys in advance, follow instructions from personnel on duty and queue when using the shuttle bus services.
