Disruptions hit Putrajaya MRT, Kelana Jaya LRT lines

PETALING JAYA:

Rapid KL’s Putrajaya MRT and Kelana Jaya LRT lines are experiencing service disruptions today, affecting train movements and passenger journeys.

The Putrajaya MRT line is experiencing delays due to a train which has been unable to move because of a malfunction in its braking system at the Jalan Ipoh station.

Rapid KL said alternative train services have been activated to help passengers continue their journeys.

A technical team has also been deployed to inspect the affected system and carry out restoration works to return services to normal as soon as possible.

Meanwhile, on the Kelana Jaya LRT line, trains are being operated manually at the Taman Paramount and Kelana Jaya stations.

Rapid KL said passengers would be required to disembark at the Taman Bahagia station.

Train movements at other stations on the Kelana Jaya line are expected to be slower, with longer stops at platforms.

Auxiliary police personnel and station staff have been deployed at the affected stations to assist and guide passengers and ensure their safety.

Rapid KL said regular announcements on service status are being made at stations and on trains.
