Scheduled water disruption in Seremban, Rembau, Port Dickson until Sept 24

 

SEREMBAN: Consumers in parts of Seremban, Rembau and Port Dickson will experience a scheduled water supply disruption from today until Thursday (Sept 24) due to maintenance works at the Sungai Terip and Sawah Raja water treatment plants (WTPs).

Syarikat Air Negri Sembilan Sdn Bhd (SAINS), in a Facebook post today, said the affected areas in Seremban include Senawang, Rasah, Rahang, Ampangan, Seremban 2 and Sikamat.

In Rembau, the disruption affects Kampung Kundur Hilir, Taman Akasia Kundur, Exevalley Orchard Park, Pengkalan Durian, Kampung Sungai Radin, Kampung Sungai Timun Dalam and Kampung Sungai Timun Luar.

Meanwhile, affected areas in Port Dickson include Ladang Tampin Linggi, the entire Linggi area, Pengkalan Kempas and the Port Dickson Hospital.

SAINS said the maintenance involves pipe and valve connections, valve replacements and scheduled electrical system servicing.

As of noon today, work progress at the Sungai Terip WTP had reached 55 per cent, while the Sawah Raja WTP was at 35 per cent.

SAINS said water supply will be restored in stages once the on-site works are fully completed, although high-lying areas and those at the end of the distribution system may experience a longer recovery period.

The company has also prepared water tankers and static tanks as a contingency measure should the disruption extend beyond 42 hours.
