PETALING JAYA: Three people stranded in two cars were rescued after flash floods hit parts of Kuala Lumpur and Ampang this evening.
The Kuala Lumpur fire and rescue department said one person was stranded in a car in about one metre of water near Tuscany Home Furnitures in Jalan Mengkudu, Ampang, and two people were stranded in a BMW in water about 60cm deep near the Desa Angkasa condominium in Taman U-Thant, Kuala Lumpur.
Firefighters also went to a flooded house in Ukay Perdana Heights, Ampang, where the occupants said they feared there could be an electrical current running through the flood water.
No injuries were reported, the department said. - FMT
