Elderly man critical after falling from 3rd floor of Ipoh hospital

 The victim does not have any identification document on him although he is believed to be a Malaysian in his 60s or 70s.

The man was found acting suspiciously at Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital’s emergency staircase before he fell from the third floor of the building.

PETALING JAYA:

An elderly man is currently in critical condition after falling from the third floor of Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital in Ipoh, Perak, this afternoon.

Ipoh police chief Najib Hamzah said they were alerted to the incident at around 2.30pm.

He said a security guard had earlier found the man acting suspiciously at the building’s emergency staircase.

“The guard followed the man before the victim fell from the third floor of the building. He was rushed to the hospital’s emergency department for treatment,” Najib said, according to Bernama.

He added that the victim did not have any identification document on him although he is believed to be a Malaysian in his 60s or 70s.

The man was wearing a red T-shirt and black long pants.
