SHAH ALAM:
Part of the ceiling at the Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Hospital (HTAR) in Klang collapsed last night but no one was hurt.

The Selangor health department said today the incident occurred at 7.15pm along a walkway in front of the emergency and trauma department’s blue zone.

It said a preliminary investigation found that a leaking ceiling pipe had weakened the structure, causing it to collapse.

The walkway was immediately cordoned off, and alternative routes were provided for patients and staff. Services at the department continued as usual without disruption.

The department said the walkway reopened at 2.30am today following repairs, and that it remained committed to prioritising the safety of patients, visitors and healthcare workers. - FMT
