Police: Flying of Party Flags Is an Offence

LABIS, 27 JANUARY, 2011: Supporters have been reminded that flying of party flags from their vehicles is an offence as it is likened to campaigning.

"Like political parties, they too need permit to campaign, Segamat police chief Supt Abdul Majid Mohd Ali told reporters here today.

He reminded them to stop flying party flags adding police would seize the poles and return the flags to them.

Police had also drawn up a list of people expected to cause trouble during polling on Sundayand would monitor their activities.

"Don't challenge police as we have the number and are logistically prepared for the by-election," he added.
