Mohan also said that he is considering to initiate legal action against Gobi Krishnan and The Malay Mail Online for carrying the article.
“I think Gobi is suffering from mental disorder. He should go and see a doctor,” said an irate Mohan.
Yesterday, the online news portal carried a report, in which Gobi Krishnan said the MIC leader was the patron of the gang, which is led by one known as Kajang Devan.
The report, based on Gobi Krishnan’s tweets, urged the police to arrest Mohan and conduct a probe on his involvement with the gang.
Gobi Krishnan also said Mohan’s car, a Mercedes CLS model, had the plate number 3060, which is an identification code of the gang.
Mohan said he was disappointed with the online portal for publishing the article without verifying its facts.
Touching on the Mercedes, the MIC leader said that he no longer owned the car as it was sold off early this year.
“It is absurd that Gobi came to such a conclusion based on the car plate number,” he said.
Meanwhile, Gobi Krishnan said he welcomed Mohan’s police report against him, saying it will enable him to give all the necessary evidence to the police.
“In addition, I will also meet Bukit Aman CID chief Hadi Ho Abdullah on the matter next week,” he said, via a text message.
